Elisa Leheny, Councilmember

Councilmember Leheny was appointed to the City Council District V seat in November 2025. She has been a resident of Greenacres nearly 20 years, and resides here with her husband and daughters.

Ms. Leheny is a true advocate for social justice and has over 12 years of clinical experience working with individuals, families, and community professionals. She is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA, holding a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. Ms. Leheny graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Masters of Social Work degree and is licensed in the state of Florida. Elisa’s experience working with clients, families, and professionals in the community extends to providing mental health treatment and leadership while working in residential therapeutic group homes; linking individuals and their family members to services when working in the Targeted Violence Unit at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office; and currently supporting individuals through her private practice. Elisa is genuinely passionate about helping children, teens, adults, and families receive the support, empowerment, and assistance they deserve.
