Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals
Duties:
- Rules on appeals of determinations made by the City Building Official and Fire Marshal’s interpretations of the City of Greenacres Building and Fire Code.
Membership:
- May consists of nine (9) total members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council:
- Seven (7) regular members
- Two (2) alternate members if appointed
- 
Qualified individuals with experience and training in building construction, applicants must be: - 
a layperson 
- 
architect 
- 
engineer 
- 
realtor 
- 
general contractor 
- 
fire code protection contractor 
- 
fire code enforcement professional 
 
- 
- 
The members cannot be City employees. 
- 
City residency is preferred. 
 
Terms:
- Members serve 4-year terms.
Meetings:
- Conducted on an as-needed basis.
